What is the best time of the year for diving?

The Red Sea offers spectacular diving all year.

What diving equipment is provided on board?

Tanks, weights and belts are provided as standard. Full diving equipment is also available to be rented prior to sailing. A full set of equipment is charged at €30 per day. Torches for night dives are also available to rent on board throughout the trip.

What is the water temperature? Will I need a wet suit?

From January to April you will need a full 6mm wet suit as the water can get down to 19°C. From July to October a 3mm wet suit will be sufficient as waters tend to range from 26°C to 29°C.

Are the safaris just for experienced divers?

Diving in the Northern Red Sea is relatively easy and in favorable conditions, even newly certified divers will have no problems. Our VIPOne instructors are able to offer courses during the week which can help advance your experience and qualifications.

What is meant by unlimited diving?

Unlimited diving means that you can go diving any time the boat is not in transit and according to diving safety rules. This means that you can safely make up to 4 dives per day.

Can I make a wreck dive?

On our Northern Routes you will discover some of the most popular wrecks of the Red Sea. The Thistlegorm; a World War II supply ship, and the Dunraven; a steam and sail-powered vessel, used to transport spice and timber, The Wreck of Chrisoula K.; a Greek cargo ship, and the Giannis D., are all located at Sha’ab Abu Nahas in the Straits of Gubal. Wreck diving will always be dependent on favourable weather conditions.

If I am on a boat with 16 people will I be able to have any privacy?

VIP One offers the same privacy as you would be able to get in a hotel; with its comfortable and spacious social area, elegant cabins with queen-sized beds and en-suite bathroom there is no problem with finding an isolated spot to relax or simply heading to your cabin for some solitude.

What kind of food is served?

You are offered a delicious selection of Egyptian and international meals. These can be enjoyed at your leisure in the air-conditioned dining room or on the sun-deck.

What is there to do apart from diving?

VIP One is equipped with a Plasma TV / VCR, sound system and a large selection of films and music. You can choose to relax on the sun-deck listening to the music or reading a book in the lounge.

How could I be contacted if there is an emergency at home?

You can be contacted via our Head Office in Sharm El Sheikh on 20-69-600145/245 from 8 am to 6 pm daily/local time or by fax on 20-69-600144.

Are there oxygen and first aid supplies available onboard?

Yes, and our staff are fully qualified to use them.

Where is the nearest Recompression Chamber located?

In Sharm El Sheikh there is a state of the art Recompression Chamber with highly qualified doctors running it. Specific diving insurance is highly recommended.
